Reporting Issue

So I have been fighting with this account forever. I have successfully gotten it removed from Experian some years back but its still the "monkey" on my back with Equifax.

I would just like to know if this is reporting correctly and what I should do next?

Re: Reporting Issue

A repo can stay on your credit report for up to seven years. If there's an outstanding balance after the sale of the vehicle at the auction. The balance will show on your credit report. So since it still has a balance. It will keep updating. Like a charge off credit account. We tell folks to settle it so it quits updating monthly. So Aug '25 it will fall off. EQ will be EQ.

Re: Reporting Issue

Thanks for the response!

Where did you come up with that fall off date?

The DOFD is April 1, 2016.

experian's website is buggy and doesn't show the reporting properly in your picture compared to the real report based on the picture that's where they are getting what they think the DOFD is.

Pull your EQ report or use MyEquifax to confirm the DOFD date.

Whew I was scared that maybe I overlooked something.

Yes, Equifax lists the date I stated. It stopped reporting for a while and then started back with the R's.

Honestly. At this point the fall off is 04/23. Isnt far off. We know the history of EQ messing things up even more. I wouldnt poke the bear. And hope there isnt a last ditch effort to collect. Youve wait 6.6 months. Another 6 months will be here soon.

Yeah you cannot really figure drop off date from a payment history they are typically ridden with errors on COs & Repos.
