What was the credit repair company you used?
What were they able to dispute and remove from your report?
How much did your credit score increase?
@bigpoppa1, the consensus here is, "Ain't no such a critter", the phrase "Reputable Credit Repair Company" is an oxymoron in and of itself.
Stepping back from those outfits, there is nothing they can do which you cannot do for yourself for free; browse this forum, there is LOTS of advice on how to proceed.
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

@bigpoppa1 wrote:Have you used a credit repair company to remove late payments and resolve inaccuracies in your report? No, anyone can do that for themselves, for free.
What was the credit repair company you used? Referring such things is a no-no here
What were they able to dispute and remove from your report? Anything anyone else can dispute, and get removed... for free, they have no special knowledge
How much did your credit score increase? It varies by profile and severity of adverse information
With the power of AI and mountains of helpful information you find here, I can assure you that you'd be wasting your money. Like others have suggested a DYI repair will be cheaper and more effective.

I have to agree with @CreditPoor. You can pay $20 a month for chat gpt to create dispute letters and do research about the The Fair Credit Reporting Act. That's what I'm doing.

I have used one in the past. My personal experiance is they did more harm than good, especially if you are not past the statute of limitations. After I started getting serious and reading on this forum, I stopped the service and started handling things myself. I was a lot more effective doing it myself than they were. I would not recommend using any credit repair company.

I will tell you this - every single thing that a credit repair agency can do, you can do on your own. For free! If you're having problems with debt collectors or even late payments, look up the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Both the FDCPA and FCRA are laws that can make you hold debt collectors and even the credit reporting agencies feet to the fire. They aren't terribly hard to understand and are pretty straightforward. These laws are basically your rights that that collectors and credit reporting agencies have to abide by.
Companies such as Lexington law Do nothing but charge you a serious premium every month for someone to type up a letter for you that is basically a form template letter that they use for everybody. The credit reporting agencies basically shred these as they come across as frivolous.
If you're trying to remove late payments write a Goodwill letter to the creditor and explain your situation and apologize. Let them know you take your credit seriously and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but you'll never know if you don't send a letter.
