Responding to GW rejections

Hi all,

I've sent out a round or two of GW letters for a few lates on my report and one on my spouse's.  A couple of responses have trickled in, with some variation of: Sorry, no dice. We're required to report accurately.

I know GW'ing can be a game of attrition/repetition and I expect to have to go a few rounds.  My question is, after getting this type of response, do you re-send the same letter or do you revise it to respond to their response?  I've been thinking of sending something along these lines for my next round, but I want to keep it cordial, not confrontational:

Reiterate I am not disputing. I understand that you need to report accurately. Also understand you're not required to report. Clarify that in that vein, as goodwill, I'm asking to delete reporting of the late.

Keep sending them GW..atleast twice a month and word it different way. Pilot and basically beg them.

I would just send the same one. No need to reword it. A different person is likely going to read it everytime.

You just keep sending until you get someone that will do it.. I emailed the CEO of the collection agency and asked him to remove 2 collections off mine that are paid with a $0 balance.

" We're required to report accurately"

This is a common objection. And while its true, the fact is that you are NOT asking them to 'report inaccurately', you are asking them to NOT REPORT. The truth is that the act of reporting itself is entirely VOLUNTARY on their part. The statutory requirement is that the report is to BE ACCURATE, not that the report is required.
