Satisfaction! (of judgment). Finally!

I paid a judgment on 5/30 and was waiting for Satisfaction to be filed (applying for a mortgage soon). I waited a while and finally, on 7/8, I faxed a letter to the law firm that handled the court case . I did not hear back from them. Daily I've been checking the case online and nothing. Even called the court clerk to see if I could do anything. I called Midland this morning and they said they sent a request to the law firm on 7/9. They *should* have sent it as soon as I paid, and I'm betting that the law firm sent Midland the letter I faxed to them on 7/8. Anyway, I checked online this morning before calling Midland - no satisfaction. Called Midland about 9am. Was about to call the lawfirm when I decided to check the case online and it has been filed! Woohoo!

I'm so relieved that journey is over. I'd be happy if I could vacate the judgment, but the court does not allow this on the basis of it being paid so I'm stuck with it on my CR, but at least it is now satisfied! So happy!
