Score dropped. WHY!?

Okay so it isn't a huge drop- 3 pts but it was from one of my closed paid accounts updating from paid 30 days late twice to paying as agreed. I thought that was a POSITIVE thing.. why did it drop?

Re: Score dropped. WHY!?

Might be uti, new inquiry, smth else.
Just focus on your credit report and don't pay much of attention to your scores. You only need perfect credit and scores will come along.

Best of luck

Check that one of your creditors hasn't changed/altered information that you're not aware of (e.g. the payment history).  This actually happened to me twice recently and I was at a loss since I keep my utilization below 10%, pay all of my accounts on time, and have only added positive trade lines to my profile.  In my situation, what happened is that one of my creditors changed the payment history for an account that was paid in full with a zero balance since Jan 2014.  Somehow, they added late payments that weren't supposed to be there (for like a year ago!); obviously I had to dispute it.  It has been extremely frustrating to say the least!  When you see your scores drop, even if it's a few points, and you are in the rebuilding stage it's very disappointing.  It has only been partially resolved, and I am still waiting for the inaccuracies to be completely eradicated.  Comb through your credit reports and look for ANY changes that may lead you to why the score fell.  Good luck!
