Yea, its directed at Midland. I am confused about the way its reporting, but it's my secondary concern compared to the fact that Midland is playing games with my credit.
The score drop was most likely caused because the account was no longer disputed. When an account is disputed factors are ignored. Dispute status was removed and score dropped.
Now the difference in the score based on the day, not sure what to tell you on that one. Depending on your settings, you don't always get a score change alert. If you look at your score history you can see that sometimes your score increases/decreases when there isn't an alert on the same day. When there's a change in my report that I think should have caused a point difference I pull another report.
I've set my score alert setting to my current score. So if changes by even one point, I get an alert.
thats exactly what i had, but i got no SW alert for 6 days and was wondering, so i got anxious and bought a CR ....mine showed it had gone up some points, which i had mine set exactly to my (what i thought) was current score... this has happened twice now...
REGARDLESS, should be another post

Unfortunately it can take longer than six days - up to ten, sometimes even more. Sometimes (like right now for me) SW is dead on and I'm getting alerts regularly and timely. other times things seem to be slow and alerts come late. If the points came up as just a "natural" flow of the score, then you wouldn't get an alert for that. You get alerts for changes to your report. Make sense? Good luck!! I know how hard it is when rebuilding to not want a new score every day.
It is so hard, for me the confusing part was getting an alert today saying my credit has dropped to 607and been the same score since the 17th, but pulling a new report yesterday agve me a 627... May have reported late, but it still makes no sense.
So here's an update. I talked to MIdland, a very unhappy lady, who proceeded to tell me the constant updates are a result of me calling them and confusing their staff. She told me they never put 120+ days late on my report and to call Equifax because it is likely something they put on themselves. I called Equifax and they told me no where on my report is it showing 120+ days late. So i called myFico, and they told me someone had to have reported it to make it show as a negative status because it is now flagged as one and changed to 120+ days late. Called back Midland and got a gentleman who was extremely nice, told me he was truly sorry about the situation at hand, and he sent the credit agencies a instant update to reflect that I am paid and full and to remove any late payment statuses on the account. He told me to wait for up to 60 days to see any changes. Weird day. Hopefully I will see this negative factor on my report fall off and be back down to my original amount of negatives.
just an FYI i was told the same thing, but they never updated....
lies all lies
SO decided to be curious and I checked my Freecreditreport triple report. Midland isn't being reported as 120+ days late on their pull on any of the three agencies.. It is only on myFico pull...I wonder what is going on
