Does any one has any experience in dealing with Sequium Asset Solutions, LLC. A collection agency
DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR STORY. THEY ENTICE YOU INTO PAYING THE COLLECTION ACCOUNT WITH THE PROMISE OF REMOVING THE ITEM AFTER IT HAS BEEN PLACED WITH NO NOTICE TO YOU. THEY TAKE PAYMENT AND DO NOT REMOVE THE ITEM AS PROMISED.

Telecommunication companies are hard to deal with. Call DirectTV and see why there was any balance at all after all you did when you closed out the account. If you still have a recipet from the returned equipment box they sent you. You'll have proof. Have them send you the final bill where you owed them for what. If they have a valid claim. Ask to pay them and have them recall the debt. Its a long shot. But I always say go to the source first.
I am a super lurker on this forum because I am rebuilding my credit after a divorce myself. I recently gave birth to a 24 weeker and was hospitalized for some time. This happened right after I moved with my new husband to our new home so I was never aware that there was a bill out there outstanding with Comcast Cable. Anyway, they sent me to Sequium Asset collections since I was nonresponsive so I tried calling them a few days ago and they were adamant that they can only accept payment to UPDATE my CR and would not remove it. So I came to myFICO Forums, my new bible to credit and saw this response from FireMedic1 " But I always say go to the source first." and called Comcast directly. I explained to them what happened and asked to be escalated as I was not aware of the bill during an extenuating circumstance. Not only did they take my $174 payment over the phone, but they told me that they will contact Sequium Asset to let them know that the debt has been satisfied and to remove the derog off of my credit report. I asked them to send me the final satisfied bill to my new address and asked the guy several times to confirm our conversation. I further asked if this was a recorded call and he said its always recorded for quality assurance. He was very confident in what he was telling me and apologized for what happened while I was in the hospital.
So now I wait and I will update you all on the final resolution. In the meantime, I just wanted to say.....THANK YOU for existing myFICO Forums! And thank you to FireMedic1 for giving me the idea!

Cool! Your welcome. And another welcome to the forums! Yes please keep us updated on the outcome. Grats MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Guys!
Have been using Fico for all my payoff lately, and saw this forum on Sequium for a ATT Mobility account.
Here is my story, I had $4910 balance on a charged off ATT account that was bought by Creadence. I guess after so many attempts att recalled it an assigned it to Sequium. ( back story, Experian boosted 60 points after Credence deleted the collection the account )
after seeing this I called ATT and asked to pay off, they customer rep said no because it was being managed by Sequium. Gave them a call, and they were spot on with the account, but of course I needed a letter saying that was even mine so the rep arranged for a screenshot of the bill be sent to my email for confirmation, and a letter was sent within a week for validation of debt.
Of course since the account was in limbo my idea was to pay off before it got reported to the agency as a new collection. After calling and asking for a pay for delete and getting the run around, I decided to logon to ATT... long and behold it was there with the balance and it did state " make a payment today - it has been assigned to a collection agency 800xxxxxxx"
I jumped on it. Paid it all off, for posted onto the account, chatted with ATT rep online and asked for the debt to recall the debt, a letter via email and mail stating it's been paid in full. Still waiting on both letter, and will update you guys in the outcome on the report.
I guess is try and try to find a way to pay directly, I just felt uncomfortable paying 5k to a random collection agency that wasn't reporting yet, and didn't want to risk that loop to go unused . I like seeing the +60 points on my report.
account was charged off july2019
Hi, I am bumping this discussion.
Basic_RT, did the issue get resolved the way you wanted it to? Was everything removed from your credit report?

Yes I do. I cancelled my service with direct tv, returned all of their equipment as directed. No outstanding bills. I never received an invoice. Suddenly I get a notification from credit karma that I have a new collection account from Sequiem Assest. I called, it was after hours. I got transferred to someone’s voicemail. Left a message. No return. I called the following week and finally got in touch with someone. They said I owed direct tv $61. I paid it over the phone immediately. Hindsight 20/20 I should of asked for a pay for deletion. Anyhow once I came to that conclusion I called them back, asked if they could delete it from my CR, they very rudely said no.
That was my last interaction.
I don’t know if that info helps you.
