Small happy dance!

Hubby has (had) 3 collections on reports. One was DISH and was on all reports with it reporting twice on one report from two different COs. We contacted DISH and paid them. Today it disappeared with a nice 20+ bump. The other one is with Comcast and we plan to do the same next month with hopefully the same result.

I have one collection still on my EQ. I'm calling them tomorrow and ask for an EE. It's scheduled to drop off in June. Fingers crossed.

Re: Small happy dance!

EE means early exclusion. If a baddie is near the exclusion date you can request to have it removed. TU will do it up to 6 months early, EX about 2 months, and EQ 1 month

A CS supervisor a EQ told me that the estimated date of removal was already -3mths from the actual 7yr final date and that the best I could expect was maybe to get that off 1 month earlier than their estimated date. Still trying with a June '16 estimated CO.

I found those dates on my annualcreditreport.com full reports.

skybuilder - that's basically what I got when I called today. So I have my calandar marked to call again the first of May. I also noticed that I had an alert of my file with EQ not to get promo offers. I had him remove that.

Yep, TU removed it last month so 10mths early and 7mths from their estimated date. EX is said to be the next easiest but it'll still only be a couple of mths off and then EQ comes in last. Got to work with what they'll give you but I'm staying on top of mine all the time.

Change that small happy dance in the subject line to a big happy dance.  I checked this morning and even though EQ guy said no to an EE last week on the only baddie I had left, it disappeared. So at least,  TU & EQ  are now clean. Took an 18 point hit, but that's ok. New CU Visa should be arriving early next week. We'll run household expenses through it and should start seeing some good things happening.

Re: Small happy dance!

Wish the CS I talked to were like this. Still have one to drop off in June and they won't budge.
