Someone please help two quick questions

1. Has anyone had a success with BOA Gws?  If so where did you send them to?

2.Portfolio Recovery is reporting my account like this  Terms:1 Months Type: Installment.  Am I able to get this account deleted off my credit report as I never signed into a contract with them they should not be allowed to report?  This account is also settled.

You say that this is settled. Who did you pay? What was it for? What was the DOFD and you SOL?

Do you have a signed letter on the settlement?

I paid portfolio the balance was 1500 i paid 1100.  This account was CO in Dec 2005 from Boa

All you can do is GW BOA.   Look at the reporting of BOA for the DOFD. This date will be before the CO date.

You can look at the drop date (EX andTU) then count backwards to get the DOFD.

If you did not use a PFD letter, They can continue to report Paid/settled, for 7 years from DOFD not date paid.

When did they last update?   You can dispute this reporting as it is not accurate! But, if they updated way back you might see a score drop if they do update now.

You can also mail a GW to them. If you do not have a letter stating that you settled for less then they might try to collect the rest.
