Got it. I'm not disputing the debt; I'm disputing the CA's right to put it on my credit report.
I believe @Brian_Earl_Spilner is saying you posted it as "slipped" thru the cracks but then said it wasnt yours for the dispute. Thats all.

Correct. Just one of those things people don't know to do. As for the CA's legal right to report it, they are within it. The deal was made with spectrum, not the CA. While it doesn't seem right, it's pretty standard. The reminder is for anyone that comes in and wants to start discussing disputing legitimate debts, which can happen in these threads. In this case, I think it's just a matter of not knowing the proper steps to have the CA removed.
