Surprised I haven't seen a bump.

I paid my UTL down from 60% to 40% about two weeks ago.  I'm surprised that I have yet to see a decent bump. I did see a 12pt bump about a week after I made payments to everything.  Surely that's not all I'll see? I have several more payments that will be posting thru out the month.  By April I should be down to 20% -ish UTL.  Maybe I'll see a nice bump in April.

Re: Surprised I haven't seen a bump.

This is my last alert.

Score Watch® alert February 27, 2014

Important alert:A new collection has been added to your credit report

Score Watch alert/Changes to your FICO® Score

Your FICO® score has gone up to 599 on February 27, 2014.

Target score alert:Your FICO® score has exceeded your target score of 590.

Your FICO score may have gone up because the following factor is not hurting your FICO score as much as before:
  • You've made heavy use of your available revolving credit.

Changes to your credit report

This jump in your FICO® score happened on the same day as a change on your Equifax Credit Report™ which triggered an alert. It's likely that the change in your credit report caused your score to go up, but this is not always the case. Your score may have changed for other reasons, such as paying back your debts responsibly, which isn't always reported as a credit alert. Also, as factors that were hurting your score get older, they have less of a negative impact on your score. In addition, if multiple changes on the credit report happened on the same day, some may have hurt the score while others helped it.

Re: Surprised I haven't seen a bump.

12 pts sounds about right to me. When you get your util down to 9% or less, you will probably see another little bump, which will add to the 12 pts to give you something clsoer to what you expected.

Re: Surprised I haven't seen a bump.

That's about right for a bump in regards to the amount you reduced your UTL

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

1pt gain today.  Also has a newly reported address.  I did move but I haven't done any change of address.  I'll take all the points!  Even one at a time.
