Just want to give a huge thank you to everyone on these boards! When I started, my FICO's were all in the 500's, and I had no clue what to do or where to start. In just a few months (with all your advice) I made some simple changes that raised me into the mid-600's. Last week, DH and I closed on refi-ing our mortgage at a much lower rate, and today I was able to purchase a new car at a promotional financing rate! Even with the new car, our monthly debts have gone way down with the reduced interest rate and some selected payoffs.
We still have a ways to go to climb into the 700 (or dare I say 800!) club, but with your help we will get there! I've learned to use credit smartly, and hopefully will never fall into such a mess again. You are all wonderful, and you've made a tremendous difference in our lives. ![]()
