Re: TRANSUNION Removed *3* Collections EARLY! Score question ??

Joeyzoom, you said your Barclaycard is 4 months old. What was your score when you got approved? Is it the rewards?

Re: TRANSUNION Removed *3* Collections EARLY! Score question ??

My score was only 600 on approval. Barclay is not a FICO lender, in that they look at the whole picture manually. So I started at $1000--$1500 in jan and $3,000 today

Re: TRANSUNION Removed *3* Collections EARLY! Score question ??

I know I'm late, but I got approved for a cap 1 secured and a QS1 with scores in the 570's and 580's for all three. MyFICO reporting too. This was in December. Now my scores range from 628 to 643 (need to update EX in signature). I had a paid charge off to cap 1. And it had been recently paid at time of apps.

You have to wait 7ntil the bureaus update also, I'm going through the same thing, the collection agency reports it to them but it dosent fall off right away, I'm trying to get a better apr on a mortgage so I paid off 3 derogs, my lender told me the bureau updates usually around the 5th of every month, only other way is to pay for a rapid re score which my lender is doing for me and takes 3 to 5 days to update, it's $35 or so per collection per bureau I do believe if it's out of pocket. So just give it a little more time which is the hardest lol

I also got a pair of Cap 1 cards - a Platinum and QS1 both with $3,000 limits with scores a tick under 600 and a Cap 1 CO from 2009.

They are very, very fair and lenient when it comes to letting you back in. I started off with a Merrick Bank secured Visa, which I kept and used regularly and PIF for a year before apping for Cap 1. I couldn't be more happy or thankful to Cap 1 for giving me another shot. I'd try with them before the vultures at First Premier or Credit One.
