How long from your first actions in cleaning up your credit did you see results? I realize that I am new to the process, but I wonder when I will begin to see the changes take effect. I have paid off all derogs on my report in the middle of october 2012 and have begun my gw campaign, but there has been no movement with my score, even with my few deletions.
Just really want to see some positive movement.
Thanks for listening and any feedback you can offer would be great.

Well;; I started DVing, disputing inaccurate information, and sending PFD in Nov of 2010... I had SOME minor results.. In dec 2010 I opened my Cap1 secured card and got a bank accounts. In April of 2011, I paid every collection account that was under a grand, and started GW (this was after DV and PFD was unsuccessful on most)
TU Fico:
498 in October of 2010
564 in March of 2011
622 in May 2011
648 in June 2011
It really depends on your credit makeup, your current score, what you can do to increase your score (AU accounts ect ect)
But I think when I really put the pedal to the medal, in Nov of 2010; I was almost 150 pts higher by June of 2011
So I would say about 6 months to see real progress

6 months is a good projection. And I know it seems like forever, but it's faster than you think. Keep cleaning, keep working. Out with the bad, in with the good!
it takes longer than 2wks.
It takes time. Patience.
In 34 days my score rose 57 points. But this 4 weeks worth of dogging people/compaines relentlessly. This was also without any good revolving accounts. There is one more that I am after now, it's PRA and I will take them down!!!!!! muahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha
Current Scores - 8/26/2025
FICO 9
EQ - 769
TU - 778
EXP - 762
Yes,, yes you will! Nice evil laugh by the way, you've been working on that one.
Hi, my EX FAKO and EQ FICO went up in the first couple of weeks, but only because I paid down my toy limit cards. I got an old inaccurate charge off removed from TU and my TU which for some reason is terrible actually went down because I think removing the old charge off which had a long age actually lowered my average age. Seeing immediate increases on two of these has definitely been very encouraging but I realize this is a long process and I am in for the long haul. In my situation I am hoping I can get up into the mid 600s in 6 to 12 months and I know realistically I probably wont see 700s until 2015 lol. But I figured why not start early, it is more productive than playing angry birds, ha ha. Best of luck to you!
I started faxing and mailing letters the first week of Oct. If I faxed and didnt get a quick response, I faxed again. I looked up every number for each acct and sent to all. You could call it overkill. I got one old paid collection removed and Toyota updated one 30 day late from Nov 2011. I was afraid I would get a harrassment notice. It took about 2 weeks for my scores to increase. I am NOT a patient person. I am trying not to do anything until Nov. 15th now. Its very hard. I have letters itching to be mailed. ![]()
If you are thinking long term, in Nov 2010 I was denied a car loan with no revolving accounts and a sub 500 score.. It was so bad my Gf was able to get the car loan WITHOUT A JOB but I couldn't get a car with good income..
By May 2012 when I closed on my house my TU score was 722.. So it can take a while but it is worth it..
To quote the one and only Nelly "runnin credit checks with no shame now" haha

Nice quote!
