Total Visa

Hi all,

In 2016 when I started rebuilding I had a Total Visa. A few months in, I had to get a replacement card due to fraud and closed the card in 2019.

I just looked at my closed accounts on my credit report and rather than issue me a card with a new number, Total added a new trade line with the new number so I have 2 closed trade lines with them.

Is this right?

Yes. I lost a card a while back and a new one was issued. New account was created. The original one showed as closed. There was no hit to my reports as if it was a brand new account.

Interesting most remove the TL with the lost/stolen card and leave the new account as the one reporting. If you have both showing leave them alone its not a big deal.
