Transunion come on!

I'm loving seeing my scores increase, EQ is now 610, EX is 620, and then Transunion is... 599. I just got notification that my score had changed because a new account reported. I logged in all excited only to see that they increased it 9 points. Seriously, they couldn't give me that 1 point to put me in the 600s across the board? I'm really not upset because I'll take any increase I can get. I love the jump my EX score took when my QS1 reported yesterday 15 points!

I'm afraid of my other two accounts that I opened last month reporting and hurting the scores. I did work on paying down some balances and I got an increase of $400 on my Victoria Secret account, so hopefully doing those things help keep my scores where they are! I'm gardening for now and only working on SP CLI until at least July. I want to see where my scores are in July and decide from there if there are better cards I want.
Slowly rebuilding, learning as I go, but that's the beauty of learning...You never have to stop!

Current FICO scores: EX: 664 TU: 650 EQ: 668

I opened 4 accounts within a month and the biggest dings (accounts 3 and 4) were only a few points. I wouldn't worry about it too much, you will recover the points quickly as you get a few months of on-time payments under your belt. I got all the points I lost back and then some in short order. It's a necessary evil in the short term to rebuild. Good luck!

Re: Transunion come on!

Thanks! I just get so excited seeing my scores go up! The accounts that aren't on there yet are a Capital one secured card and Overstock card.

Re: Transunion come on!

I've stopped looking at my scores now(low 600's), they just ping pong up/down too much to keep my sanity in place. My cards 4 & 5 dropped me single digit points. I dont even worry if my scores drop when getting cards in my rebuilding phase, since its just temporary. The good stuff comes soon enough. Smiley Very Happy

I'm more interested now in just getting everything corrected or removed, and making sure I keep paying my bills on time every month.

It's smart to focus on that when in the slow periods of rebuilding. That has kept me sane and occupied as I wait for the last of my baddies to fall off!
