Vacation Granted!

Synopsis: I lost against Midland in January and judgment was entered Feb 6th.

I contacted the attorney by letter, asking them to request a vacation of the judgement if I paid in full. They said I need to PIF within 14 days of the judgment being entered (I had 14 days to appeal the judgment), but I wasn't able to do so - I was a couple of days past the 14 so they agreed to request a vacation, but said it would be at the Judge's discretion. I did receive this in writing before I paid.

I paid on Feb 24th and, true to their word, they submitted the request on Feb 27th and even said I had paid within 14 days. I just got a notice from the court today that it's been vacated so it should never hit my CR!

Woot! I'm so glad I asked them to vacate and I have to say they were actually really nice about it all (of course, I was dealing with the attorney's office and NOT Midland!).

This is SUCH a relief because my score has being going up and I was dreading taking a hit from a judgment.
