Hi all,
I have been building my credit for a while. I have paid off at least 15,000 worth of debt that I paid on time always but it was hurting my overall credit score. I was with Verizon fios for six years but once covid hit their customer service started lacking and my bill was always outrageous. The last bill I received I called customer service to find out why it was so high and they couldn't give me any logical reason as to why my bill was so high compared to all of my other bills. I switched to Infinity. A month later I get a call from valor collections and notice verizion is reporting on my credit report negatively.
How do i get this removed? It is the only thing I have on my credit report?
Valor said Verizon reports on the credit report and if it's paid off they can't guarantee what verizon will say on my credit report or update it to? I hate that I have to pay a $400 bill and they couldn't tell me why it was so high to begin with which is the only reason it wasn't paid.
Please assist. i do not want this on my report for the next 7 years! Ugh!!
Contact Verizon directly and negotiate a PFD (Pay For Delete). Just like it sounds, offer to pay in full in exchange for Verizon to delete their collection. You could also try settling for less, but it's far less likely to work this way.
