So I signed up for CCT credit monitoring and I have my EQ and TU from MyFico, and I've noticed that on 2 of the reports pulled from CCT (Ex & Eq) show a WFNNB/Palais Royal CO/CA from 2003 for $249, however, this does NOT show up on my MyFico report.
On CCT Experion lists it as transferred to another lender or claim purchased, and Equifax lists it as open, pays as agreed, account transferred or sold. The only date available on the reports is Date Open: 5/1/2003.
Any clue why this is on CCT and not MyFico? Plus, it's so old I was under the impression it shouldn't be there at all... how should I proceed? Or should I even proceed since it's not on the reports I've pulled from MyFico?
Thanks for any information at all, this whole "taking control of my credit" thing is an uphill battle sometimes.
Hey DD
Is the 2003 date the date of first delinquency or when that account was opened?
The only date available on the report is Date Opened. But I remember the account, I was 20 years old and an idiot and the account was closed in the same year it was opened, so 2003 should be at least the year of delinquincy.
But oddly under the listing, I have little green "okay"s listed for months from April 07 to Mar 09, even though this was already in collections years before that time.
So it's not showing up on your TU MyFICO report ? Or not showing on both TU and EQ MyFICO ? Did you pull all the reports on the same day ? MyFICO gets your reports directly from EQ and TU, so it should reflect the same information as any other CMS that also pulls from the CRAs ( again assuming that the reports are pulled at the same time )
Cool. We're the same age. I was an idiot too...just until a few months ago
I had a charged off Target card that was still showing from 2002 when I checked it in June of this year. I know everyone preaches not to use the online disputing for credit reporting agencies, but I disputed and in less than a week it disappeared.
I guess sometimes they just need a little tap to remind them it's supposed to fall off.
PizzaDude: It's not on TU anywhere, but there was a discrepancy between my EQ reports fromt the two difference sources. They were originally pulled on different days, so I just went and got a new EQ MyFico and who'd have thunk it, it's there. It's list under my accounts and not under collections. The date of last activity is July 2003. Zero balance, pays as agreed, sold to another lender. Hrmmm. So strange.
SGE: I know the feeling. My idiot stage lasted far longer than it should. I wish I had the luxury of saying "oh, I was a young student then", but up until early this year I was still managing my credit and finances poorly. I am immensely motivated now though and I will be darn sure it never happens again. ;-)
So do you all recommend disputing the account with the CRAs because it's old?
Well that explains it ~ it must have been added to your EQ report between the time you pull CCT and MyFICO EQ reports.
If the account is showing "pays as agreed" then it may not be negative on your reports.....Is it showing as a derogatory account ?
Pizzadude,
Does the "sold/transferred" comment cause the account to be derogatory?

My guess is no.....but I could be wrong. Does the account have a red flag next to it on your MyFICO report, or any indication of late payments or a collection ?
Well, it's listed under 'accounts' rather than 'collections' on my eq MyFico report, no red flags next to it. It says it has a balance of 0, no lates, pays as agreed, sold or transferred. So perhaps I should juts leave it alone as it it looks like it's not hurting me?
