WFNNB - the fight continues

Here is an update in my quest to get an WFNNB -Express paid charge off removed from my CR - so far, I've had success with getting it deleted from TU via telephone dispute directly with TU.  WFNNB continue to update my Express account as a charge-off even though it's been paid in full since 2007.  The updates continued to happen every month until August of this year.  Many ugly phone calls to WFNNB and online disputes with the CBR yielded no results.  Finally TU got the picture after a long phone covnersation and a lot of explaining and deleted.  No such luck with EQ and EX.  This has been going on for the past 4 months.  Fast forward to October, I went on an app spree and ended up securing accounts with Crate and Barrel (2,500 CL), Pottery Barn (2,350 CL), and Arhaus Furniture (7,000CL) all financed through WFNNB.  Go figure.  Today I decided to call the number on the back of the Arhaus card (since it has the highest limit) and try my luck with a CSR about this Express acount.  I did not give any of the ugly details that have occurred over the past 4 months.  I just said that I have a old charge off with WFNNB that has been paid since 07.  I gave my social so they could look up the account.  The CSR was able to see the account but said she couldn't do anything about it since it was so old. Anything over two years old cannot be updated by them (her words).  I pushed (gently of course) for her to allow me to speak to a supervisor just to see if there was ANYTHING that could be done.  She agreed.  Supervisor got on the phone, started to brush me off by saying that since it was a valid charge off they could not remove it from CBR, but after I informed her that I have 2 other accounts with WFNNB in good standing and that the charge off continued to be updated every month, she agreed to start a dispute internally (her words) to get the account deleted.  She stated that she could not make any promises, so we will see what happens.  According to her, I should get a letter in the mail detailing the outcome.  Has anyone ever heard of this?  I am hopeful...

Re: WFNNB - the fight continues

(I replied to you on the other thread, too.)

This sounds a little bit like what they promised me about my lates. The CSR said that they would report to the bureaus as never late, and that's what they did.

Not exactly the same thing, but at least it sounds like someone's trying. Good luck!
