Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago I sent a certified packet of information to Hunter Warfield regarding an old bill from an apartment complex. Today I received a letter in the mail from Hunter stating they are in need of additional time to obtain the requested documentation and that they have suspended collection activity and credit reporting on the account until they can properly validate. I never sent them a debt validation nor did I request any documentation from them. Does this mean that they are deleting the account? Can I send the letter to the credit reporting agencies and have the tl deleted? I checked my creditkarma account and the tl is still there. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Whatever was sent to them is being treated like a dispute, for which they're proceeding with validation/suspension of collection activities.
This can go three ways. Deletion, the collection being sent back to the OC, or it being validated/updated on your CR's.
BUMP!
You're just going to have to wait for the outcome of the dispute. As Burned2manybridgesB4 pointed out there are several possible outcomes. At this point the CRAs won't delete anything unless the CA requests them to delete.
