Re: What's the best secured rewards card?

I started my rebuild with the TD Secured card after reading @Horseshoez's posts. Deposited $5K and had it back after 6 months. This is my dauly driver. I use it for house/living expenses and sometimes large expenses. It's the card I let a few hundred dollars report on each month. I've had it for about 14 months. Hoping for some auto-luv by the end of the year.  I also made TD my main bank. They are all over the place in my area (was using DCU). This helps when I want to stop in to deposit cash.

EQ - 676 / TU - 669 / EX - 668

TD Cash Card - $7500 / Capital One Savor - $7500 / Apple Card - $6500 / Mercury - $5000 / Capital One QuickSiver - $5000 / Ally Master Card - $4300 / DCU Visa - $3000
$38,800
DCU Auto Loan

@masscredit

Congrats on your success with TD Bank, I have heard a lot of good things just like this with them. If I recall correctly I think @Horseshoez even stated the AF is reimbursed after graduation as well and he also switched to them for his main bank. Nice job on your rebuild and credit products you have thus far in your signature. Thanks for the DP's on TD Bank they are on my radar!

Well, kinda-sorta, the annual fee is refunded on a pro-rata basis; since my card was secured for only six months, they returned half of my annual fee.  Long story short, I paid TD a whopping $14.50 to have their secured credit card for six months, during which time I earned over $100 in cash back rewards.  Since my card graduated in January of 2021 I've earned over $800 in additional cash back rewards, and given I have yet to use them, I now have accrued a tad over $900.  Smiley Happy

Re: What's the best secured rewards card?

Here is a nice $300 SUB for a TD Bank checking account if anyone else is interested or if @Horseshoez you'd like to share it, I know you are familiar with them and maybe have a family member interested. It does have a monthly fee of $25 unless you deposit $5k per cycle or maintain $2.5k daily balance.

Thanks @butterpecan, I moved my wife and daughter over to TDBank back in 2020, our son had recently gotten out of the Navy back then and was firmly entrenched with NFCU; that and where he lives now has no TD branches.
