I hope someone can help!
I have a Sears store card (Issued by CBNA) that I used to buy a car seat on the Sears card website. Long story short, it never ended up getting delivered so Sears gave me a refund but it took two months for them to issue it. It was a mess up on their end. But that meant that there was a negative balance on my card for two months and is reported as such on my score. I've written to Sears store asking them to remove it and they told me to take it up with Citi. I wrote to Citi, explained the situation and got the standard response of not our fault, not our problem. I've worked so hard to rebuild my credit after family issues and my parents using my details to take out various loans. Where do I go from here?

Welcome to MyFICO
If I understand you correctly, the card is reporting a balance of (as an example), $-230. Correct? If so, that would not hurt your credit scores in any way. Does something show that indicates that this a delinquent account or some other negative reporting? If not, while I understand wanting it to report a $0 balance, it isn't affecting your scores or reports in any negative way.
