Who has had luck beating ERC (Enhanced Recovery)? HELP

I am in the middle of a mortgage. I was pre-approved, then a nightmare happened.  I had disputes showing that UW caught.  We got the disputes off, however my credit score took a beating, basically no longer pre-approved. Mortgage officer ran my credit through a "what if simulator."  I HAVE the get ERC collection off.  I have tried just about everything.  I have gotten all the way to the Operations Manager, was told to email [email protected].  I recieved a generic response today that they cannot do a pay for delete, they are only required to report it fairly.  My contract is about to expire on the house this Friday.  Hopefully will get an extention.  Who has had luck with Enhanced Recovery?  I'm going to lose the house.  I don't have anything else to work with on my credit because my credit card is at a 2% utilation rate, I have NO lates on my car loan.  Next step?  What should I do?  This is time sensitive.

How old is this collection? How much is it for?

Seems odd that if your credit is otherwise clean, they would refuse a loan if it wasn't removed. They can't work with you if you PIF?

It's for $672, and early termination fee that showed up on my report after divorce and I had to switch to another carrier. The collection is less than two years old. The problem here, is that my credit score dropped after the first hurdle of disputes showing up. The only way to get my credit score back up is to get ERC off of my credit report. I just don't understand I'm offering to pay them in full for a pay for delete. They will gladly take my money, but they won't give me a pay for delete. I have tried to think of everything. Doubling up on a car payment? I don't know what else can raise my score. I need to gain about 25 points or I'm going to lose the house.

Also the reason why a PIF won't work, is because it has to be removed entire league as if it never happened. That is what the "what if simulator," said I needed to do.

You have to contact the executive office and ask them for help. If they agree problem solved. If they wont help then you will just have to pay it off and let the chips fall where they may. You can begin a GW letter campaign if it gets reported as a paid collection. Good luck Smiley Happy

How do you get in touch with the executive office? I have already been up to the operations manager, his name is Kevin Mandell. What a loser. I actually look for him on social media. Great profile picture with alcohol in his hand! What kind of business are they running? Why did they delete for some and not others?

Re: Who has had luck beating ERC (Enhanced Recovery)? HELP

For what it's worth (and not much but figured I'd chime in), I had a collection from AT&T for $251 that went to ERC.

I spent 3 days trying to get a PFD by calling and writing, and just stopped short of begging, and they wouldn't do it.

Wound up just paying the bill in full last Friday.

In the world of credit, the OC & CA could care less about you and what you want all they care about is the money. Im sure some CAs even get pleasure from inflicting pain, its just the way of the world in a most unfortunate way. As another poster has suggested you can also contact the OC and see if they will recall the collector in exchange for full payment.

Re: Who has had luck beating ERC (Enhanced Recovery)? HELP

They're such scum.  I have them on a couple of violations right now and waiting for the results of a complaint filed with the FL OFR.

Basically, I had a cable bill that I paid directly to the OC, who accepted it.  ER updated the collection to 'paid collection' (keep in mind I had never had any contact with these people, ever and it all popped up on my report about the same time I paid the cable company, who had told me it was still in their in house collections).

So I disputed this collection stating that I had paid the OC, and in reply to the dispute, they did NOTHING to the collection in question, but they re added it as a NEW collection with a balance and UNPAID COLLECTION as the status!

So many complaints have been filed against them with FL, Fed, and BBB that I can't believe they still have a license to practice, but you can believe they do not think anything about committing violations.  Good luck!

Re: Who has had luck beating ERC (Enhanced Recovery)? HELP

Enhanced Recovery is a pain to deal with. I successfully had them removed from my credit report in 2010. I also switched carriers and had a balance. I was going to pay them until I researched and found out that first of all debt collectors cannot report on your credit report first of all, so if I were you ill send them a dv letter. Secondly, Cell phone collections can only be collected for up to (2) years after that the debt becomes time-barred and it is beyond the statue of limitations. Send them a letter stating that the debt is time barred. Now this particular time barring varies by state check with your state, just google it. Also what I had to do, was finally send a letter to their Better Business Bureau, I finally spoke with the executive whoever and she removed, but I first I had get rid of the address on my Credit Report so that they couldnt tie that particular debt to me. If they cant verify the address and everything doesnt match up exactly they have to delete it.

Hopefully one of those options can help you!!

Good luck!!
