Yay 28 point increase!

Saw an alert today in email from WAMU today. I have free WAMU FICO score tracker. Told me my FICO went up 20 points!

Well I logged in and checked....
April 08 was 527
May 08 was 555!

Not sure what caused it, I sent out some GW's, opened some disputes with all 3 CRAs. I do know Chase sent me a letter, they removed an account that was not mine. I paid off collections, which should have reflected. Too many variables, but will find out soon! Hope it hits at least 600 by June, if my disputes work!

congrads!                keep in mind that paying a collection will not raise your score unless it is deleted or reports paid as agreed.  The deletion of chase,if it was a baddie will help!

WOW congrats. I have been waiting for the same thing for a month now. my wife has the wamu cc. when i pulled her report, I noticed utilization was hurting her badly. as a result i paid BOFA 1500, thus a zero balance.

other changes included credit limit increase from

BOFA 3000---7000 total

Macy's of $700---2700 total

Davi's Bridal 1400---5400 total

in addition we paid as much credit card bills as possible and did so ontime 

Her Wamu score is 679. I look forward to a big increase

I've read that wamu does a score check on the first of every month and upgrade on the 20th

I just checked today and her score was still at 679 as April 1, 2008

can't wait....

Wamu, Fako, Fico....whatever. You're moving in the right direction so go ahead and celebrate. Congrats.
