fixing my credit

So this is my first post and im not sure where to begin but here we go.

I have an negative items on my report I am trying to remove.

1) frontier..... I called them to ask about the debt to pay it they ran my social security number and had nothing on file. How can they report on my credit if they have no file in collections or active accounts? What should I do?

2)kay jewelers..... called to ask about this account hoping to do a pay for delete. The lady i spoke with told me they don't have any records except name address social security and phone number. They have no other numbers associated with me not even an amount owed. She directed me to a collection agency that had no info at all said they don't have any accounts under my name. What should I do?

3) dci...... this is for Comcast which I paid via comcast and was told I would get it called back. It didn't happen. I emailed the board of directors and eventually got a call from one who was very kind and tried all he could to help but said it would be on dci to remove it now that it's paid. I called dci and they won't budge but the guy on the phone said I should dispute it very quietly I'm hoping that was a hint.

4) security credit services.... Last but not least I got a letter saying that they are the account holder but I should pay the original Account holder (total card inc) to be satisfied in a tci letter head. I called security credit services they direct me straight to tci. They won't except a pfd. For the full amount of 220. I wrote a letter to the so called ceo gave me but haven't heard back and probably wont. I was thinking if I should keep at it or bite the bullet and settle pay in full or not pay at all. I want to get a house and would like this removed blah.

Other then that I paid 6000 on my credit cards and 0 balanced them I just have those to remove and I hope I'm home free in the credit repair game. I thank you all for any help received and this site is amazing. I recommend everyone look at it.

Re: fixing my credit

Id dispute the first three for sure, the first two don't seem to be able to verify that you actually owe anything. The third you can dispute the fact that comcast said they'd delete.

As for the 4th, have you tried asking tci for a PFD,  or just the CA?

Re: fixing my credit

I have disputed the first 3 before but for some reason they keep coming back verified. But I did the dispute online I think I will go the hand written mail route this time.

So tci is the original Creditor that is the wierd thing. I called them a year ago to do a pfd and they refused I told them let me think about it overnight I'll call back. The next day I checked my credit report because I got an alert tci removed their account because I did dispute it the month before but then security credit services showed up for that same account. When I call security credit services to pay or do a pfd they just send my call to tci. It's some wierd stuff I don't understand. I have seen security credit services remove themselves then Re add themselves to my report I am not sure if it is to show it as a new account. I just wish they were easier to deal with. The damage is done and it's such a small amount I don't see why they won't do a damn pfd haha

Re: fixing my credit

Frontline CSRs dont always have all the info, when you dispute it the back office gets that dispute and they are the ones findiing all the account information to verify it. OCs are notorious for not granting PFDs so if these are updating monthly you just want to pay them off to stop the updating. You can then switch to GW letters to ask that the TL be removed. As far as the Comcast if they told you they would recall and they failed to follow thru file a BBB complaint on them for shoddy business practice. Your other remedy is to send Comcast an ITS (Intent To Sue) letter for breach of contract. A verbal contract is just as binding as one in writing.

Re: fixing my credit

Dispute 1-3. Call if you have to. Tell them you called the lenders and the CA's and they couldn't find any files on you.

Re: fixing my credit

Gdale6: when you say they don't have all the info up front shouldn't it be on their computer system? I'm not sure how that works but they couldn't even tell me any information on my account with frontier it didn't exist to them and at kay jewlers they couldn't tell me any money amount or payments even a charge off date. I'm not sure how this works because kay passed me off to the collection agency who the same thing had no info on that account. I will try to dispute and if it comes back verified I will make a call to the cra's and ask how they verified and if the can look into it more. I thank you for the information also so much

Re: fixing my credit

Iowa - thank you I definitley redirected those and I hope they don't deem them frivolous but they should be able to do a more thorough investigation on that for sure. And I paid off the security credit service one even though they are being dicks I am tired of dealing with them and I will bombard them with letters every day until they remove it haha they want to treat people like crap I can play that game too. Haha

Re: fixing my credit

Unfortunately, I spoke with upper management regarding my husband's account at Comcast and waited 3 months for someone to return our call. Just so happen I found the equipment and called again and now they can't give us no information over the phone miraculously. We go into the service center return the equipment and now they too can't give us information. Long story short. I'm calling on Friday, if no results we will make a complaint. They are horrible with customer service

Re: fixing my credit

Depending on length of time since the accounts went delinquent it may have been moved to archive and needs to be brought up a different way. It is also possible they changed systems and would also need to dig deeper to pull it up. When weew the accounts closed?

Re: fixing my credit

I hope you get success on all of them, but certainly the first 3. Those seem a bit strange as to hiw they have no info, and Comcast not following through.
