So, I know that freecreditreport.com doesn't actually give you a FICO score... I realize that. BUT here's the perdicament:
I pulled my myfico scores both EQ and TU this week (twice, lol I had a jump and I couldn't wait to see it . I'm sitting at 626 EQ and 609 TU with a major baddie on it that's gonna be paid this week (Public record for tax lien).
Again, I KNOW that freecreditreport.com doesn't give you actual FICO scores BUT the freecreditreport doesn't show the public record reporting. In fact, it says I have no public records. My freecreditreport.com score is a 640 for EX with no public record. Is this accurate at all?
THANKS!!!!!!
Ignore FCR's score. They use a totally different scale and a totally different formula than FICO. In fact, on a PLUS, you can actually lose points if you remove a collection as CAs are factored into their history. Inquiries hurt for 2 full years vs. FICO's one. AND their scores don't update in real time (not always).
I know it drives you nuts not knowing....it does for many of us. I'm still trying to figure out how to join PSECU so I can get an EX FICO.
BTW, as a FCR subscriber, you can get a free EX report directly from Experian. You may want to double check their reporting to confirm that it is off (I'm sure it is).
Wait, as a freecreditreport.com member I can order my ACTUAL LEGIT EX score? And it's the real one? Is it done online and viewable online? Do you know how I do it?
THANKS!!!!

No! Report, not score. You get an actual report directly from EX. Don't buy any scores from there.
Ahhh, yes. Ok, I almost fainted just now.
BUT Chances are, what I'm seeing on FCR.com is what's on EX for the most part, i.e. the public record not reporting, etc.
I think FCR.com scores are usually lower than real FICOs if I'm not mistaken, is that the general rule?
THANKS!!!!
odd, I've been subscribing to freecreditscore.com since March and my Public record shows. It says I dont have one in the last 2 years which is accurate (mine is 4-5 years old), but it does show up on my report tab.
I'm referring to Freecreditreport.com not freecreditscore.com
Does freecreditscore.com give you EX ? Obviously FAKO...
I'm assuming freeCREDITREPORT.com gives a FAKO for EX? And if so, how far is the FAKO usually off?
THANKS!!
ah ok, yes freecreditscore is Experian. No clue on how far off it is considering I've never seen my true EX FICO.
IME, when we could pull our EX FICO from here (ahhh....the good old days), and when I pulled my EX PLUS FAKO at the same time, FICO was more responsive to util chnages and baddie removals than the PLUS. Plus, the PLUS didn't factor in stuff like a FICO. Sometimes my EX FICO would increase and EX PLUS FAKO decrease for the same event or vice-versa. I clearly remember losing points on my EX PLUS FAKO (8 point loss) when a CA dropped. My EX FICO increased 58. The PLUS factors in stuff that FICO doesn't and vice-versa. Gosh, you can compare your EQ and TU FICO to your EQ and TU PLUS FAKO now and see those differences quite clearly. I forgot who it was, but someone said that if your FAKO is ###, then assume your corresponding FICO would be between 300-850.
Since no one seems to have brought it up yet, you can get one or all three reports for free without a credit card at annualcreditreport.com once a year - you can decide if you want to do all three or just one at a time periodically through the year.
