how do i know who the originators are when a collection agency takes over. my ex may be included don't know how to find out

Did you receive anything from the CA?

What do you mean by "you think your ex may be included"?

Do you think this debt would be beyond SOL or something you could PIF to avoid a lawsuit if needed?

Once they have sent you a dunning letter, you have the specfic right in response to that letter to inlude in your DV request the name and address of the OC.  FDCPA 809(b).
