how do i remove a public record?

Well, they are not supposed to say they are calling to collect a debt and a few other things. I believe there is a thread here somewhere about the whole FDCRA. What I have just noticed is that the status of the PR on my EQ REPORT says" pending". What is that??? Pending for 7 years??

ok, i decided to dispute this with EQ, since they are the only ones reporting. I also disputed this almost a year ago. I just checked the status of the dispute and when i did, i can see the previous dispute, which shows it is completed and the result of it was " expired".  NOW, does that mean that the judgement had expired???  I know it sounds like a dumb question, but if the judgement has expired(which i should have in 2010) and cannot be renewed, then it should fall off 7-7.5 years after it was filed, correct?? It was filed in May of 2005, so my guess is anytime after this May it should fall off.  Please advise me if I am incorrect on this. Of course EQ is still in the process of checking the current dispute so no results yet.  I don't know why I never saw that "EXPIRED" result last year.

gypsy I have the same expired on Eq from last baddie I to had disputed it prior I think it means dispute expired. Im not sure but I put in my first on telephone dispute usually I write this one has the wrong DOFD and should fall off in 12 days let me know what you find out!

thanks annielorie, I thought it could mean that as well, but it makes sense that the judgement is also expired. (five years in PA). On my EQ credit report, the status of the judgement says "pending". so I am a bit confused about it. will defintitely post any results i get from this new dispute.

How did you get this 5 year fall off date? I was told 7 years reporting a judgement. I am sending a check to Blank university for my judgement/ public record, from there I'm not sure what to do. I got my default judgement in 2008

5 years NY if a judgement or chargeoff is paid removed from report

update!!! Just got an email from EQ regarding the dispute of the PR and they are deleting it from my reports!!!  I know, big deal, May would have marked seven years so it would have fallen off soon enough, but it makes me feel good to know it will be off now, along with LVNV's bogus TL and a few GWs i sent out.  YAY! it feels so good to see positive changes resulting from a little work and some time!!!
