Re: i went down the wrong path again

OP, if I mathed this correctly then the outstanding debt is $49,499, with $580 remaining monthly income after minimum payments. Interest accruals will continually hinder paydown efforts. If wife isn't working or otherwise financially contributing then perhaps discuss this situation and possible options with a BK attorney? At some point you deserve to move past financial stress and enjoy your new marriage while building a healthy, honest, and responsible financial future. Best Wishes

Re: i went down the wrong path again

I'll let other people speak on the mind set to why you got back here. I think the HOW you got back here is your debt isn't that high. But it's very high in contrast to your income. I read the long list of options someone wrote for you, and as I'm reading it. I'm thinking if this guy had $500 extra dollars a month. He could really shake some things loose and pay some of these $1000 loans off. And then work the debt snowball. Which is why I mentioned if you're wife isn't working, $500-$600 month could easily be a part time weekend job. She or you can make that anywhere in a month. Or you could go to a local credit union and ask for a consolidation loan. If your credit is still decent. Or you could ask them for a balance transfer on a no interest card.

I'd try to get interest relief. The loa

n from rich relative would be great too, but don't go back down the debt path again, you know where it leads. As to keeping the hot imported wife in the dark, only you know that answer. As long as the light never comes on...

As someone who had IRS debt in the past, that should be your main focus. The interest on that accrues daily and you will never see the end of the road.
