Already stated I have 0 patience...but this is driving me nuts! Confusion! Why do my Vantage 3.0 reports show 2 collections reporting as though I haven't touched them (both the same Affiliated Collections, both paid in full about 3 weeks ago, last report date 08/10/2018), it also shows 2 paid in Full 0 balance.
However the reports here:
2 accounts paid collections - 0 balance, and the 2 Affiliated Creditors again like I haven't paid them - EQ Score 589
Same 2 accounts that show paid on EQ, no comments about paid, just a total that was owed, no mention of balance or paid, but the 2 Affiliated Creditors are not there, and one additional that I didn't know was there when I paid the other 11 in full
OH: - EX Score 643
Same 2 accounts paid collections - 0 balance, and the 2 Affiliated Creditors - TU Score 603
Vantage 3.0 - 596
Since 8/28 I've spent $160 (19.99 X 8) on reports watching, waiting, and hoping for all this to fall off, or whatever it was going to do, and for the scores to change, and they have some, although not what I had hoped, given the rest of my report is spotless
I am SO impatient, I have, based on things I read here in the forums and elseware, check prequalify for ALOT of cards, ALL have shown no offers until today, US Bank (I have checking/savings here), and BoA, When BoA showed "offers" I couldn't stand it, and applied, and of course, denied. I plan to visit my US Bank and speak with the manager whom last year said she could help me get a card if my score was over 640 (I doubt that, and she probably "won't remember" telling me that), so I didn't app. there, probably a good thing, as I am at 11,12, and 15 inquiries now
So what do I need to do to get those 2 Paid in Fulls OFF the report like the other 9 did?
You can get CreditCheckTotal.com for $1.
I’m sorry to tell you, that just because you pay a collection does not mean they are going to fall off your reports. They are there for 7 years. Unless you negotiated a PFD on them. Not sure from your post if that’s the case.
you will come out cheaper just getting you a monthly subscription here. That would be better anyway as the vantage scores are not really useful as no creditors really use them

Yes, thank you, I'm aware of that "rule", mostly "just becuase you pay a collection does not mean they are going to fall off your reports.", however, of 11 medical collections 9 fell off, only 1 is being difficult, the other that is still there is an old verizon orig. creditor that they have reaged, so while they are being stubborn, they are also breaking the "rules".
I took your advice and purchased the 39.99/month package, thank you! And that new 3B report shows something else interesting, the two that report paid, have comments that say "settled for less than original", or something like that, which is inaccurate, I paid the amount they reported as being owed - NOT a settlement, report showed X, I paid X, there was one, that fell off, that when I called to pay, they offered a 55% settlement right "off the rip", so that one I took, the others didn't offer, and I just paid them.
Did you contact the collection agency and get a written or verbal agreement for a pay for delete AND payoff amount with interest?
Or you just used the figure reported on credit bureau reported without interest/fees?
I saw the amount, called them, and said "I have a collection account on my report that I would like to pay", They gave me the "collector trying to collect a debt" statement, and said your total is X, I said ok, here is my debit card number.
That was that, they never said anything about additonal interest or fees. How should I have to investigate or guess if I owe more than what they report, and tell me on the phone?
Frankly, this is just a way for them to continue to pinch me even though their paid, that's utter nonsense. I guess for the rest of my life, I'm going to call every bill I have and say "Are there any other fees or interest that I need to pay?" Then when they tell me it's paid in full, I need to ask "are you sure, are you going to report something different on my credit report, that I will have to investigate, prove, dispute, but you get to put it there "just because you say it's so?"
It's all a game, and I'm getting tired of playing, they have their money, they need to take care of their responsibility, it's that simple.
Otherwise you should NEVER pay a collector, as there is NO benefit! It doesn't even make sense.
I have never heard of that happening after you pay the collection, they tell you have much you owe for the collection that's it. It depends on which collection agency your dealing with to get the collection deleted, a GW letter and some just do it if you ask. Of course legally they don't have to delete until the laws of your state allow reporting on credit reports.

Hi Cjane1, here is a direct C&P from my report in the 3B from here:
