remove derogatory item from credit report and escore aud control number

hi,

i have a derogatory item on my credit report.  i called the CA and sorted everything with them and have a zero balance statement.

they also told me they have informed the credit bureaus to remove the derogatory item.  they have given me an escore aud control number but won't provide it in writing.

my understanding is all should update real time since it is electronic.

it has been 3 days now.

my questions are:

- how long does it take for the CRA to update (i.e delete the derogatory item)

- if i file a simple dispute (i.e creditor agreed to remove the item) - woud this dispute be negative on my credit report.

- is there a way to check the aud control number?  i called the credit bureau and they don't know how to check.

or i should just wait for 30days, as i read that the CRA updates around the first two weeks of the month.

I've seen same day deletions and some that took 30-45 days.  Don't think I've ever seen one go longer than that.

I had a collection agency GW a paid collection. EQ dropped it about a month after. EX dropped it (today) 6 weeks after. Still waiting on TU.
