which date counts??

On collections which date is used to decide the most recent collection??  Date reported?  Date assigned?   I want to make sure I am tackling my most recent collections first.

Thanks.

Re: which date counts??

Date reported would give you the newest collection reported to the CRA. That is the one you want to deal with first.

Re: which date counts??

You still need DOFD/DOLA.    that will give you the drop date and SOL.

The OC assigns this. Is the OC reporting?

Re: which date counts??

The CA is the one reporting.  They are medical collections that I am working on the hipaa process.  I just want to be sure I am starting with the most recent as I pay them.  There are a few within the last 24 months.

What about an acct that is over 2 years old?  It is the only collection account on her CR and it is paid.  Is that still hurting the score?

Have her begin with letter #1, the pre-HIPAA dispute letter, and send it to the CRAs CMRRR.
