Hi everyone...I need some additional help.
I have completed the Medical Collections & HIPAA letter process with some success. I had accounts reporting from several CA’s. The others were deleted from my reports, but I have 6 accounts remaining from 1 CA. Here is the process I followed
Detailed HIPAA process1/15/2009 - Completed step #1 & 2
1/21/2009 – step #3; sent pre-HIPAA letter CM
2/4/2009 - Experian sent letter stating they verified the account
2/18/2009 – Scenario #3 & sent Alternative Med DV letter to CA (CMRRR)
2/26/2009 – Sent Follow-up Dispute letter to CRA (CMRRR)
3/16/2009 – received CM from Nationwide; Validation of Debt. Letter included copies of itemized invoices & description of medical treatment & codes
3/23/2009 – received letter from Experian stating “We have already investigated this info and the credit grantor has verified its accuracy”
These six paid accounts remain on my Experian report.Nationwide Credit & Collections (reporting)

I realize your collections have been marked as verified, but EX should re-investigate because there is new information, the HIPAA letter.
Since the CRA verified your unpaid (and in rare instances, paid ones too) med collections and the reporting CA provided a complete and accurate validation of the account, send the HIPAA LETTER TO THE OC to the OC CMRRR. Since all of these are paid, use insert B.
Normally I don't recommend this, but you can write one HIPAA letter for all six accounts. Once you receive the green cards back from the HIPAA letter to the OC, send this letter to the CRA CMRR.
FOLLOW-UP DISPUTE LETTER TO THE CRA
Be sure to attach a copy of the green card from the OC HIPAA letter to your follow-up dispute. Wait up to 35 days for the CRA to complete their investigations or delete the collections.
Depending on the outcome of the these disputes, your collections will be deleted, your collections are no deleted and you'll need to file a HIPAA complaint against the OC or file a complaint against the EX with the FTC, or both.
Thanks for your help. I'll send out the HIPAA letter to the OC tomorrow. This is a powerful letter, I'm hoping for great results...Thanks Again fused
