Juniper Card Account #xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Recently I wrote in a letter dated 4/9/09 to Juniper bank asserting my right to opt out. In doing so my Juniper credit card account was closed by Barclays Bank Delaware. The said reason, disclosed by a customer service representative, for closing my account was that I had rejected the terms of service. In my request I never rejected any terms of service. My instructions were not to have any of my personal information disclosed to any other non-affiliated third-party companies or individuals. In asserting my rights under the Financial Services Modernization Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act I in no way rejected any terms of service.
According you your privacy policy, obtained through your website, I may opt-out of: (1) information sharing with our affiliates and/or (2) marketing by our affiliates based on shared information. This is what I attempted to do in my previous letter. I would like to request my account be re-opened at the previous terms of service, including the credit line and annual percentage rate. I hope this matter can be resolved quickly and I look forward to re-establishing a relationship with Barclays Bank Delaware.
Sincerely,
