Re: HIPAA response - not sure what to do next???

I still haven't heard back from the CRA's regarding these 3 items however, I just received an updated Equifax report and the CA updated all three items as "paid" and updated 4/2009 which I'm thinking didn't help my score much.

The CRA's are still supposedly investigating and have a few more weeks to do so from what their letter says so my question is...should I just wait for the investigation results from the CRA's or should I send something to the CA??

Thanks again!

Yes, please see below.  This was in my first posting (not being snotty Smiley Happy and it was right before I mailed letters to the reporting CRA's.

RE: Accounts (1, 2, & 3)

This is in response to your letters dated March 10, 2009, accounts in collection.

I have notified the agency that we would accept your payments as payment in full with no interest incurred for the last 3-4 years.

(Company Name) has in no way violated any of your rights for non-payment of accounts (1, 2, & 3).  All businesses in the United States can report any owed debts for collection activity, as with these 3 dates of service, two from 2004 & one from 2006.  All information was accurately reported and now paid in full.  These 3 accounts will now show paid on your credit report when posted by the agency, via (Company Name).

Thank you for your payments, they have been sent through for processing.

Respectfully,

(Jerk)

Supervisor

Insurance Follow-up

Customer Service

And, they hadn't even reported to Equifax before, only the other two, so now it's on all three.

Sorry, I didn't read the letter in your OP, I just assumed you pasted one of my pinned letters. Go figure!!!  LOL! Are you certain the CRAs have marked these collections as "disputed and verified" on your reports?

Re: HIPAA response - not sure what to do next???

Oh no worries, you're such a big help to me that I'd type it all again if you needed me to.

Well no, they do show that they are in dispute but they also show that the accounts were updated "status as of 04/2009" and "paid".

I hadn't disputed with Equifax earlier on because they weren't showing on my report but now they look like 3 new accounts.  I will send Equifax the same hand written letter that I sent the other 2 CRA's today.

Should I DV the CA or just wait?

Wait for the CRAs to finish investigating your follow up dispute.
