Medical Debt Question

I have been working hard at cleaning my credit up but every time I get ahead it seems like something else pops up. I just raised my score 25 pts and now it is going to go back down who knows how many points but probably more than the 25 pts. Well I guess it might not because this new item may only be reporting on experian right now, I haven't pulled the other two reports recently and I haven't gotten an alert yet for the others.

Anyway I pull up my experian report since I can look at it every day to see if some of the places that told me they would remove their accounts have removed them yet. I pulled it up on Thursday and found a new judgement listed for medical bills for the clinic my families dr. is at. This is not current bills. I never got a notice that I was being sued for this so, since I work at the clinic I went to someone in billing to talk to them since when I started working there I paid off a huge bill that I owed and have tried to keep as current as possible since. She said she didn't see anything but as she dug in my account there seemed that there was an old balance from before they switched to the system that we are on now. She suggested that I call and see if the account was listed on behalf of the collection agency they sent it to and if so call them but the amount that I owed was a lot less than the judgement amount that was listed on my CR. The amount she showed I owed was $521 and some change and what was listed on my report was $1760 and some change. So I called our clerks office and got the information and it was this company and the lady there told me I could come and file a motion to set aside for failure of notification. The strange thing about this whole thing is that this was filed in Dec 06, the judgement was filed 1/8/07 and it just showed up on my report this month.

So after getting this information I called the collection agency and spoke to them and they say that I do only owe $521 and some change since I paid that huge amount to the clinic when I started working there. I don't see first of all how they can file a judgement if I can still pay it at the clinic myself but thats not the point I guess since it was done. I have tried looking up the statue of limitations on medical bills in my state which is Indiana and what I can find it looks like it is 6 years, can anyone tell me if this is correct? I did have her send me verification of what I owe and she sent me some printoffs from the clinic from 2004. These bills are from Jan 2000 to 8/2004. There is one Dr. on there that it says my son seen and he has never seen that Dr. so I need to have someone check into that. There are also the things saying when they sent stuff over to this agency but there are also a few things that say they pulled a collection from another agency and forwarded it to the agency that has it now. For these I have no information on what this was owe for just the amounts that were pulled and transfered. They have charged me a ton of interest on this bill that I had no idea about at all. My bill is like $950 now because of the interest that they have charged according to the top sheet that they sent me with the verification information. I am going to file the motion to set aside since I was never notified but will this help me any at all? Also if the SOL is only 6 years then if they filed this at the end of 2007 there should be some that they can't collect on because of that correct? Can someone please tell me what kind of options I have. I do not have the money to just pay this in full right now. I have been trying to pay anything I can as I can and I work two jobs and don't have much extra money to do this every week.
