Opt Out---caused a problem!

I had begun the HIPAA process for paid medical debt reporting on my CR.  Of course, I had completed both of the Opt Out steps first.  The problem is:  My EQ report was just updated negatively by one of my CC I am in good standing with and to whom I had sent an Opt Out letter.  Further, my FICO score dropped 7 points because of the change!

This is what the CR says:

Account opened: 5/2002

                    Previously reported                                    Newly reported

  Balance:      $0                                                               $0

  Past due:     $0                                                               $0

Status:         Pays account as agreed                            Pays account as agreed

  Last activity: 9/1/2008                                                      9/1/2008

Description:  Charge                                                       Consumer disputes this account information

Amount in H/C column is credit limit          Charge
Amount in H/C column is credit limit

I have not disputed anything with this CC, only sent the Opt Out letter.  I sent Pre-HIPAA Medical Dispute Letters to all 3 CRA's, but only regarding two medical collection accounts, not this CC account.

Does anyone know why this happened?  And what should I do in response to this change negatively affecting my CR and FICO score?

Re: Opt Out---caused a problem!

Are you absolutely sure nothing else changed on your report? I have never heard of opting-out causing a positive account to be marked as in dispute. Try calling the creditor to explain you are not disputing anything, you were simply opting-out?
