Lady_Scarlet,

After sending this letter (If collection paid - insert A - / or any option) does the OC completely remove the collection information from your credit file? 

What do you know to happen with this?

I have a medical collection that has been sent to a collection agency (I do not remember the service) - it shows in 2004, it's only $70. (so, paying it wouldn't be a problem) but, I'd like to have it removed altogether.

Do you suggest I send this letter to the original creditor?  If so, do I contact the collection agency at all?

do u know if this letter is better than the Opting out process. As the opting out process is to the CA company and this letter is to the HC providers. I am trying get this paid medical account deleted off my credit report. Also my husband has collections that are not paid that are 9k,7k, and one for 500 ( ambulance). If we are not able to pay for the 9k and 7k. will it help his credit if we pay the $500.

Please read the HIPAA letter process link in my sig line. If you cannot afford to PIF the collections, this process will not work.
