sol for medical collections?

Im new to this forum...I just wanted to know if theres a sol for medical collections. on my eq cr there are 2 medical collections...the date last active for both is 05..

It depends on the state you are in or where the services were performed.  In some states there is no SOL for medical debt.

I live in pa...one is $50 for a copay for an emergency room visit...If i pay it, will it help my fico score or damage it?

ER co-pay! Was it for the hospital or the ER doctor? Paying it will not help your scores. Have you read the HIPAA letter process link in my sig line?

My son has medical debt on his credit report from a car accident that he was in his friends car and it should of been paid by his friends insurance.  They were given all the information.  The accident was in 2004 and wondering if there is a SOL for this in New York.  Appreciate any information you can send me.  Also my husband has medical bills for my younger son as he was playing hockey and got hurt and we were told that the USA Hockey insurance would pay for it and they never did so it ended up in my husband's credit report.  I wrote an email to USA Hockey but never heard from them.  I am thinking I should use there address and send them copies of everything we have and see if we can get this off his credit report.  Thanks.
