Disregard Females, Acquire Currency!

Is this a pearl of wisdom when it comes to relationships and money, or a cynical and sexist outlook, or does it actually lie somewhere in between the two?

Must be a pearl of wisdom because if there’s anyone I’d trust with sound life advice, it’s the guy whose top tracks include ‘Ten Crack Commandments’ and ‘Ready to Die.’ Real pillar of stability and high moral character there.

Commandments 1, 2 and 6 definitely go against myFico. But it's a fact of life: never get high on your own supply. It's just asking for trouble.

A better proverb might be, "Regard Females, who Acquire Currency."

I'll have to check an early version of the Pearl of Great Price. Weren't there some teachings about acquiring many wives?

It’s a little of both, to be honest. Focusing too much on your social life early on does drain some of your money and put you behind in career advancement. But a good partner can be a huge asset in your career too.

If you can only focus on one thing at a time, it might make sense. But there are far better mottos to live by.

There's a meme out there that shows a male cartoon running down a road towards the path of financial freedom and opportunity, and along that path in the middle of that road is a wide pitfall titled "p***y".  The meme speaks for itself.

I think in life, most people will understand that 90% of it is BS.  It's the 10% that makes life worth living.  That 10%, is what you have to define that matters to you.  Life will toss many roadblocks at you.  Some will become  opportunities.  Others will become a bitter and tough pill to swallow.  For every happiness, it may hinder your progress towards success.

With many things in life, those feel good moments can be fleeting.  Money can't seem to buy happiness.  Look at the people one works with.  The higher up the title, the fewer wedding rings you see on fingers.  Women, at least in the womanizing sense, can't seem to bring happiness or satisfaction either.  It's fleeting on both ends.  I suspect, somewhere in between all of that, balance, family, along with a few hobbies along the way, might achieve some sort of happiness and contentment in life.

Bit of a meme quote more than life advice lol. Money matters for sure, but having a good partner who’s sensible with cash can honestly make life way easier long term.
