I guess I'm a grumpy git. lol.  It annoyed me - I hunted down the 'off' switch right away. Smiley Tongue

Re: AMEX jingle

It's certainly a disincentive to check your accounts while at work!

Mine blasts out at the typical volume of a college football halftime show. Smiley Tongue

Re: AMEX jingle

it gave me a start assaulting my senses initially, but i find it is so irresistably upbeat and melodic, it gives me a boost i must admit Smiley Very Happy

Scamp, you're good though, it'd be nice to know how to turn it off for when at work or if it gets annoying (since some of us (me) check amex online about 10 x's a day and all) where'd ya find the off switch kid?

If I remember right, just scroll down to the bottom-right corner of the main AmEx page (pre-login) - should be a speaker icon down there that you can click to turn the jingle on or off.

Lucky me - I keep forgetting about the blasted thing.  I never hear it at home b/c I don't clear my History/Cookies/Temp Int Files folder all the time the way I do at work, and yesterday morning, I snuck on to check my account at the office only to have doo-dee-doo-dee-doo chime out of my PC with my boss about 2 ft. away at HIS desk.

Yes, I'm still employed - he probably figured it was just some other PC alert noise, thank goodness!

Re: AMEX jingle

I originally hated the quirky little noise.  (It reminded me of the 'tune' my Samsung TVs make when they're turned on/off -- well, before I turned off that option.)

At some point I decided that the jingle is the reason I was CLD'd.  They took my CL away and put that money toward R&D for website jingles.  Now I listen with glee!
