This is showing up both in my accounts and on the card page: https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/business/business-credit-cards/american-express-blue...
I asked using their chat about it but the CSR I connected with didn't seem very knowledgeable/confident. They only said nothing had changed "on their end." When I asked whether requesting a new card would just result in having another copy of their old design, the CSR believed that would be the case. Maybe the change is so recent one cannot request it yet, but maybe I just didn't get the best CSR. My guess is the latter.
Will update this post as I usually don't care about a card's looks but can't stand the clear one. P2 loves it, of course.
Next day edit: Tried chat again, CSR also wasn't aware at first but checked up on it and was able to process a replacement card. Now to just find a banner-less, hi-res pic for my signature! ![]()
Second edit: Ask and I shall receive! Got a decent one from the e-mail confirmation, but reddit user BerryVerry just shared this:
I hope this means they are phasing out *ALL* of the clear plastic cards......
Dang, I love the clear card.. this one not so much
That's a huge improvement, IMO. ![]()
I always hated those clear cards. DW has the BCE. I think they look cheap and weird. I've considered applying for this one to use alongside my personal Gold card to accrue MRs.

Well, bummer. I love their clear cards 🤩 I've always liked the designs even when they first came out, but sounds like a refresh design on plastics was inevitable. Thankfully mine doesn't expire for a while.
I just logged into my Amex account via the web and happened to notice that my BBP looked different in the drop down menu. Did a quick google search and came up with this:
It looks very similar to the BBC now, which is a welcomed change. Now they need to finally revamp the Everyday Cards.
It has not updated in my Amex app in android yet, or in Google Pay.

What a welcome change....that clear card sucked.
I noticed about 3-4 months ago the same thing when I logged on....but it went away after a day or so. Maybe they were testing the change or something.
Either way it's welcomed
Already being discussed here
Its about time. The Blue cards looked really cool in 1999 when they first came out; and the cards back then seemed higher quality. The Blue/Everyday cards over the past 6 years or so just look cheap.
The change is probably due to the trend towards un-embossed cards; would be difficult to print on a clear card. They have been at this since, what? 2019? Time to finish up and redesign all of the former Blue/Everyday cards.
I like my current one, not so much for the new one. Luckily, I just got approved last year so I still have a long way to go to see the new one
