Hey guys, I'm going to school for finance but I'm not really into coding or anything, I've dealt with FED (html, css, js) and BE (python and java) but anyway the reason why I want to talk about the concept of coding in comparison to language learning, like I was thinking about learning Japanese or Mandarin but it seems very difficult starting out. I like that when it comes to learning a coding language, you don't have to memorize anything, but once you do it so often it becomes engraved in your head I guess or they say if you know the concept of it then that's what matters. But when it comes to Japanese in particular, you have to memorize hiragana and katakana. Like you really have to put in the work to know it like at the back of your head. Compared to coding and learning a language, although both are considered languages. How technical are they both? I think they're both mentally not easy, but that's with anything in life. I know the hardest language in the world is not even a Asian language lol...
I've worked with at least a dozen programming languages over the years and computer languages are much easier. Each language has syntax you have to learn, and maybe some vocabulary, but pronuciation is no concern at all. You don't have to learns sounds that do not exist in your native language. Computer languages are for the most part written only, no need to try to interpret anything spoken. Every language I've ever worked with was English based using keywords like "if" and "while". I'm sure I'd find programming much harder if I had to learn Mandarin first, for example.
