Yeah, but which one of us is gonna log in and out 3-500 times to see if the threshold is 10k?

Thanks, @M_Smart007. ![]()
Some of the speculation here is... interesting to say the least. Now that the ability to @mention has been opened up to the entire community I really don't see what the rush is any longer.
A few things that have been mentioned before (by myself and others) that I'll repeat for any new viewers:
I know we have a lot of fun here trying to figure out the "secrets" to FICO scores, but when it comes to reverse-engineering forum ranks I personally don't see the point. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just my 2¢.
@UncleB we're on a forum where people try to gather datapoints to reverse engineer proprietary scoring formulas and algorithms. Are you really surprised?

Surprised? Nope, not at all. Very (very) little surprises me these days. ![]()
I saved this snapshot on the very next login after receiving an email that my rank increased to Valued Contributor.
The post count (978+73, Replies + Topics Started) fits well with the table that Thomas_Thumb posted.

Exactly, it's done for enjoyment not for value add . CassieCard, thanks for the detailed stats. Below are mine. I don't post all that frequently so that's my constraint. For many others it is number of log-ins. Generally not minutes on-line (except when there was a system glitch that reset minutes). It would be interesting to get more data points for minutes on-line for Valued, Senior, Super and Mega contributors. That's not a visible public domain attribute in user profile
Sign ins and minutes on-line for @M_Smart007 would be particularly insightful given his rather recent membership and Mega rank.

@Thomas_Thumb wrote:I see you are at 14,372 posts so I suspect you mean about 600 posts short of 15,000 for Mega - yes? Of course, posts on the smorgasboard don't count toward reaching the threshold.
As illustrated below, members can have well over 20,000 posts and not reach Mega rank (MyJourney has 31,001 as a Super Contributor while LS2982 is a Mega Contributor with 15,453 posts). Today's post range for Super Contributors is [5,759 - 30,001], [3,112 - 10,404] for Senior Contributors and [1,054 - 12,996] for Valued Contributors.
No, I meant logins. The table shows 10k posts, with an update of 15k because you haven't seen anyone under 15k at mega. Based on the original numbers, I'm short of logins. At this point, I could log in and out 600 times and we would find out of 15k posts are actually needed, or if I already passed the threshold.
Ok but ... the table previously benchmarked 5000 log-ins for Mega (now reduced down to 3500). Since we don't have the log-in count nailed down your result might be inconclusive. Regardless, it looks like you are on track to reach 15,000 posts before adding 600 log-ins so your rank up will probably be held back by log-ins. M_Smart007 logins and minutes on-line would be a good reference point for you.
