This forum helped me rebuild my credit I bought a house then four months later ended up filing for divorce . Not a situation I ever imagined would happen . Was with wife for six years I feel out of touch with dating world when I go out so much has changed. Any advice would be appreciated surely others have been in this situation with so many ways to communicate I feel dating is more difficult. I don't like to text a lot I view texting as a way to make plans not conversate ( maybe I'm wrong ) buy I've made plans several times say on a sat or Sunday I don't text all week till wendsday or Thursday to confirm but never hear back ... It's a little frustrating most of the time I'm jot even the one who engages the initial conversation so I don't get why if they engage we make plans then get blown off. Do women really want someone to text everyday before the first date even happens? I really don't have a lot of free time with work and I have primary over the kids so I only have a few days free a month . And I hate making plans that end up not happening when I could be doing something else. Blah just having a crappy week.

Aww, you are a good man.  What age range are you if you don't mind me asking?  Because that will explain the "texting" part.  If the women you are trying to date are younger, then you will have to learn how to text unfortunately if you plan on closing the deal....

For the ones that stood you up, that is rude and uncalled for.

I'm 27 so not old just don't like texting it's hard to read people with texting and things come across wrong depends on the tone the person reading it uses.
It's just been a bad week normally I wouldn't give it a second thought . She is two years younger.

You are young and that is unfortunately standard for women in your age range.  I'm older than you and I am not a fan of it but I had to embrace it or else.

At your age after 6 yeras of marriage you need some "you" time (not ingnoring your kid obv). 

If I was an MD I would prescribe you 6 months of "Tinder time" (google with any questions).  <--  Once that is behind you then you are more ready to date.

Did my six months of tinder.. I actually met this woman from a tinder date we ended up just being friends so she set me up with this one.
And yeah that hits the nail on the head with texting. Conan has a hilarious bit when he joins tinder and tries it out .
I will throw in a phone call and usually they freak out like they didn't even know you could use a cell for other than texting lol.
If I don't hear from her tmrw I'll just get my mountain biking in I thought I wouldnt this week .

Date yourself and the women will follow because they will be actively participating in your joyous activity.  Like, meet like.  

Once I started saying, "MEH" I seemed to be able to find much better suitors than the usual losers I pair with.  That, and having a support system to tell you with your rose colored glasses if your potential lover is a dud always helps but that's my thing.

Yeah mtb is my love right now she never complains and is always ready to go. Extra hobbies I have, kids go to bed at 8 so I learned or am learning to play guitar it really not a big deal was just feeling down bout it never really just been blown off before. Guess it happens to most people at some point.
Haha they told me my wife was a dud but live and learn I guess.
