That's how DW felt, Byrdman. She started on MySpace after our babysitter set one profile up for her. After a few days of that profile sitting out there in cyberspace, a few of her old friends and classmates contacted her out of the blue. From that point on she was hooked. She uses FaceBook solely now and loves it.

 Used myspace back in HS but until I got into college, I switched over to Fbook. Myspace was just nonsense for me with all of the stupid drama, top friends, spam, clutter on profiles, etc etc. Fbook Is nice and simple for me.

She broke down and joined as my friend today. When they started asking her to input more info, she logged off. It's a start anyway. I am going to be doing linkdin and twitter for business soon.

Linkedin is fabulous for networking.  Also one of the things I love is that you can give someone a reference.  When you write a reference for them, they are automatically invited to reciprocate.  I absolutley love this site for business!

UpUpUp, that is EXACTLY how I think about it! So invasive - I don't want to have my every move broadcast to all and sundry, friend (or "friend" ) or not!! And if I write a comment to one of my friends, or a message on a forum, WHY would I want that fact plastered up for everyone else to see? I don't know, I've tried to explain this one before, to my husband, who thinks I'm being weird (he doesn't use FB, but he loves MySpace) - it's not like I have anything to hide, but I also can't get my head around the way that people love to have everything "out there" like that. It's really not that I want to be all secretive or anything, but... ah, maybe I really am weird, as I seem to be in the minority with this stuff! I also look at people's pages on MySpace and have to shake my head at how.... I dunno, "self-publicising" people are. All just makes me want to scream "WHO CARES???", very loudly. 

Ooh, maybe I am getting old, maybe that is the problem! Yikes! (Wait... Husband's 7 years older than me, and he thinks MySpace is wonderful).

NEITHER! I dislike both... My friend forced me onto Facebook in January and swore I would get addicted. I don't like it though and forget to check it all the time.
