Help with Auto Insurance

Long story short: I'm 22 years old, college student, my parents are immigrants. I've self taught myself everything about credit from this forum. Now I need to learn everything about auto insurance. Can someone direct me to a knowledgable source where I can read & learn everything there is to know about insurance?



Also, is $1000 a lot for auto insurance for 1 year through Farmers Insurance? Thank you in advance.

For you age that's not terrible.  But it does depend on what you are insuring.  What is the age and type of vehicle you are insuring?  In what sate are you currently?  Do you have any tickets or wrecks in your driving history?  Have you held a valid DL since you were 16?
