Re: How do I not hurt a pushy neighbors feelings....

Wait a minute. She has made it clear to you that her kid is not allowed to play at your house, because of whatever the reason, but you feel funny about telling her the same thing? An unequivocal NO, needs to be in your vocabulary. Tell her your reasons. I don't recall her taking your feelings into consideration, by not allowing her child to play at your house.

I personally interview the parents of the children that my children are hanging out with. My ex doesn't, so I feel like I am fighting a losing battle half the time. I couldn't care less what they think of me. These are MY children, and I am responsible for their well-being.

Yeah, I'd be nervous letting my kids sleep over somewhere if the parents didn't have firearms, too. I would be mad if something happened and the other parents were unable to protect them.

That's a joke right? What I meant was that my kids are not allowed to sleep over someones house if they have firarms!

Not really a joke. I suppose if you feel that way about firearms, you won't let them sleep where there's a car, a power tool, or electricity, either.

Oh, please, tell me that we're not starting this back up again. Smiley Sad Smiley Tongue

And that's hardly a good parallel, you know.

I don't believe it was an unintentional posting. You wanted to get a free jab in there. Not unlike someone coming in here preaching how credit is evil. They're both just tools, and they can both hurt someone if used in such a manner, just like most other tools.

Is there a list of face icons somewhere? Or will they show up if I make Firefox pretend to be IE?
