I GIVE UP! (venting) (Updated)

I give up - I am going to find a new hobby....wanted a house but no matter what I do it just isn't in the cards...I will be punished forever for having had bad credit. I have given it almost two years of cleaning up my credit report and I was so close but I just frickin give up!!! Paid off a credit card....so now I have two with no balances showing...nothing else has changed and my score went down. WTF? I am sick and tired of this rollercoaster! Oh well...the devil has won!! Been nice talking to all of you and thanks for letting me vent I am going to go have a good cry and then find something else to focus on.

Re: I GIVE UP! (venting)

wildcat--

I know how you feel, it can get frustrating. Is there something in particular we can help you with? Have you pulled new reports to see what is wrong?

Feel free to post over on the RYC forum and get some assistance or PM me.

Hope you stay away, but if you need some time away, I certaintly understand that. Maybe a break to clear your head and refresh.

Re: I GIVE UP! (venting)

hey wildcat, come back! Don't let the devil win! (We will let you vent all you want!)

It may not be in the cards right now for you to get a house, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. for example- my best friend had her heart set on a beautiful home, before she could get pre-approved, the house was sold. She was heartbroken, depressed, and just plain hard to be around for about a month. 2 mos later, she got a great job offer 70 miles away and her income increased $20,000. She found a home 5 mins from her new job, that home is even better than the first one she wanted, they accepted her offer and she moved in two weeks ago. Bonus: Her interest rate is now better than it would have been on house #1 last fall.

So, come back, let time work it's wonders, and keep your dreams alive!

Re: I GIVE UP! (venting)

Oh, sweet Darlin', don't you dare give up!

At the risk of having to be censored, I'll go ahead and say what I think: from talking to you, I know you're a good Christian woman. And as such, I know that you realize that the Good Lord would NOT want you to give up. He has plans for you -- but they might not be in sync with the plans *you* have for you right now.

But you go ahead and vent ... trust me, everyone needs to at one (or two, three, four, or five) time or another.

Just have Faith, Darlin' -- He brought you here -- you didn't think you just wandered in here by mistake, did you? And do you REALLY think that He put all these wonderful people here for no reason? He has a better, better, BETTER plan for you. Just have Faith and see.

It WILL work out. He does reward good behavior and good hearts -- and Darlin' you've got'em in spades! Just continue doing what He tells you to do (like post about baddies we can help you with) and keep strong.

We're here for you. We're listening. We're caring.

But please, please, please Darlin' DON'T just give up!! You're stronger than that. Really, you are.

Re: I GIVE UP! (venting)

Thanks guys.....I am not going to give up but I sure was this morning....think I had a mental break down. I am very dissapointed to say the least. I had to stop and re-evaluate what I have been able to do. I have gone from being turned down for secured credit cards to 4 non secured ones and a decent car loan. I have also raised my lowest score over 100pts. I don't understand what happened with my TU and why it dropped I have looked at every aspect of it...maybe I was thrown into another bucket. Anyways I know I found you all for a reason and I have learned much. I am very blessed and I know my time will come when I can post that we got a home of our own. Hopefully things will still work out...I have more cards I am paying off this month and will keep a small balance on one. I can honestly say that if it does not work out that I tried the best I could. I would be lost without this forum...my close friends do not understand what we are going through and I think if I did not have all of you to turn to for questions I would have alot more break downs like this morning. Wonderin...you are a wonderful person and I remember way back in the beginning of this process you were one of the first people to answer questions and to encourage me . Thanks so much!! I wonder how many people get frustrated and give up? Bet there are quite a few of them.

Re: I GIVE UP! (venting)

Aw. I feel your pain. I had the same up/down thing happen to me when I was rebuilding. And, of course a freakin' old collection that kept coming back month after month evne after getting it successfully removed time and time again. There were moments I sat in tears when pulling up my reports and seeing the **bleep** thing back again. You work so hard, you expect some type of reward and you feel like all you get is something kicking you back down again. Don't give up though. You will get through it. And one of these days in the near future you'll be posting about the whopping unexpected increase in your scores, I just know it!

Don't give up. There's plenty of us fools who bought near the peak of the market, and not all will survive. Some will crash and burn and there'll be houses a plenty for a cheap price. Just be patient.

Re: I GIVE UP! (venting)

Well someone jump on my head while I am down...got a collection on dh report today from 2005 for 70 dollars....cost us 50 pts. Wow and to top it off....my landlord calls and wants us to sign a 2 year lease or rent will be going up and they will not let us go month to month...want a year lease at the minimum. So nothing like being screwed on a lovely day. Still not giving up but getting darn ticked off now!! Oh well. Can't wait to see what is next.
